 Organic produce is grown in composted soil using nutrient rich natural fertilizers and nontoxic pesticides so that the produce is toxin free and rich in vitamins and minerals.  Organic produce workers who do the labor to grow and harvest the produce are working in non-toxic environments since they are not being sprayed and exposed to the toxic chemicals involved in nonorganic produce production.

Non-Organic produce is grown in nutrient depleted soil where chemical fertilizers and toxic pesticides are used.  The resulting produce is nutritionally weak and layered with toxic pesticides.  The produce workers and their families inhale the toxic pesticides sprayed on the crops and suffer poor health.  The soil is stripped and devoid of nutrients.
